Not a whole lot of pressing market news this week. Stocks are dropping, but not at catastrophic levels and Crypto seems to be holding its current position. It seems we are just in a cycle of waiting for Fed Rate Hikes.

 

Robinhood stock just exploded, well a mini explosion. FTX, the popular Crypto trading platform was thinking of buying the HOOD. This caused Robinhood stock to climb. Interestingly enough, Robinhood made it into our curation report earlier this month and just barely got a Passing ethical score. Unfortunately for Robinhood, FTX claims that it will not be buying the HOOD.

 

The housing market may not be crashing but it is definitely returning to normal. Hot spot areas like Denver, Salt Lake City, and Boise all saw price drops in home prices this past week. This is not a country wide thing...yet. The median home price in the US is hovering around $400K and that will start to tick down in the coming months. More layoffs are coming for the real estate market. 

 

Roe V. Wade was overturned last week (Praise God!!!), but the fight is just beginning. Abortion Advocates (AKA Murderers of Babies) are opening up lawsuits in Texas, Mississippi, Idaho, Louisiana, and Utah. These lawsuits are attempts to stop outright abortion bans in these states. Please be praying for these states to solidify into law the protection of the innocent. Also, California is looking to codify law that would legalize abortion at the state constitutional level. 

 

Russia targeted a Ukranian Mall in a recent missile strike. Many country leaders are calling it a war crime by Putin, and they are of course right. 16 civilians were killed in the strike. 

 

46 people died trying to cross the border from Mexico to the US. they were all found dead in a truck in San Antonio. Officials think the heat factor was the cause of death.

 

Gun Rights, overturning Roe v. Wade and now justice for religious freedom. The supreme court just ruled in favor of Joseph Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy was a football coach in Bremerton, WA in the public school system who would pray on the field after games. He did not force his players to pray with him, but they were allowed to pray with him if they wanted to. A couple school administrators and parents took offense to this practice of praying after games and this created a lawsuit. Mr. Kennedy refused to stop the practice and the court case made it all the way to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Mr. Kennedy in a 6-3 decision stating his prayers were personal and quiet. The fact that some people don't even want to see a high school football coach praying lets you know how opposed to God we really are in this country. 

 

1 million voters across 43 states have changed their political party affiliation from Democrat to Republican in the last year. 630,000 have switched from Republican to Democrat.
