The Democrat Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) will most likely pass now that the Senate got it through. The IRA is a climate change bill that has allocated $260B in tax credits for renewable energy. The IRA will most likely have no impact on actually reducing inflation. If anything, the IRA will hike up inflation at least in the short term because of its tax increases on corporations The IRA will help the gov. raise $700B by taxing "mega-Corporations" No republican in the senate supported the IRA and this was because the huge jump in taxes has some people scared that businesses will be leaving or just looking for more loopholes. Indiana has essentially banned abortions via legislature, and they are pretty much the first state to do so since the SCOTUS overturning of Roe V. Wade. employers in IND like Eli Lilly (Pharma) and Cummins (Engine Manufacturer) say this ban on abortions will hurt the state's ability to attract diverse talent and therefore have a negative impact on the IND economy. If allowing babies to live means you can't find good engineers or scientists, then that is a trade I would make any day. Though, the claim is completely unsubstantiated as red states with strict abortion laws have been attracting more and more people every day from blue states like California and New York. 

 

Technically we are in a recession but actually we are not in a recession because some people who believe themselves to be the controllers of language say we are not in a recession. So, we are only in a recession if some people say we are in a recession because we are all just idiots and the really smart people working at the Whitehouse have way better degrees than we common folk.
