Weekly Rant - None this week, just a Survey

Out of the responses we got on our survey about 45% of you say that you think the stock market is problematic but do not feel strongly enough about it to abandon it. The next biggest group of respondents (26%) said that they are in complete agreeance with C3's stance on the stock market. The third most popular response at 18% was that the respondent did not feel informed enough to make a decision about the morality of the stock market. The survey was rounded out with 10% claiming that they disagreed with C3 and that they think the stock market is good for society.

To all of you who responded, THANK YOU!! more than half the people who read this newsletter did not respond to the survey, so if you feel called to beef up those numbers, please hit the button below!!

As for those 10% who disagree with C3, thanks for being open minded and sticking with us on this journey. I would love to hear why you continue to open this newsletter and what your arguments are for sticking with the market. Iron sharpening Iron will hopefully be our mindset in any future contentious conversations.

For those who feel that the market is problematic but do not want to abandon it, I have to ask...Why? Is it financial fear (I completely understand that one!!!)? is it just not important to you, bigger fish to fry kind of thing? I am genuinely curious, probably a little too curious.

Lastly, for those who want more information, I promise the book is near completion and it is going to be improved drastically. come March. I will be spending some time in Ohio with people much more adapt at communicating then myself and they are going to solidify the language and flow of the book to make sure it is valid and digestible.

All the turmoil and the 300,000 reservists Israel had to take out of the workforce and put into military uniforms is hurting both the labor market and of course actual production.

• A group of unhappy online daters are filing a lawsuit against the owner of Tinder, Hinge, and The League. The owner of these hookup culture dating apps is Match Group, and Match Group is being taken to task because users are claiming that the creators of these platforms use tools to make the users addicted to their platforms and they have no intention of actually making lasting matches. If you keep hooking up that means you will keep using the app, whereas if you actually find a lasting relationship these apps have to say goodbye to your wallets. Tinder even gets to double dip with 40% of GenZers who want non-monogamous relationships....🙄

• Though the US is sending $61B to Ukraine about 64% of that money is going to make its way back to US contractors who make the weapons that Ukraine needs. War is a lucrative business when not fought on your soil.

• Natural gas prices have fallen to their lowest prices since 1995. IT is actually cheaper to heat your homes today than it was almost 30 years ago for some people. Surging supply and limited demand have natural gas prices plummeting by almost 50% in just 30 days time.

• Superhero Movies are dying. Madame Web the latest superhero movie from Sony completely flopped. The budget for Madame Web was anywhere between $80M-$115M and the opening weekend haul was only $25.8M. The biopic on Bob Marley called "One Love" has been doing pretty well though!

• Adobe has an AI assistant that can search and summarize PDFs. The AI craze is everywhere and one of the main reasons the magnificent seven from the first story are pretty much ruling the world.

• A High school Girls basketball game was forfeited in MA because one team had three players get injured in the first half. The opposing team had a 6ft male playing on their team. Gender identity in play on KIPP basketball team - Itemlive
