Higher education is something I am no big fan of. Overpriced pieces of paper that you get from institutions that do not teach young people how to do anything of substance.  I have always said that maybe medical related degrees and lawyers should go to college and that is about it. Everything else from engineers to accountants are better off with apprenticeships and getting real world experience. However, the enemy's camp in which we all live is set up in such a way that makes those overpriced pieces of paper (diplomas) are a necessity for so many (though the trades like Electrician, Carpentar, and mechanic are receiving better and better pay nowadays because of simple supply and demand economics).

I have always thought that Universities should teach people how to think and not what to think and that if higher education was not so regulated, then talented professors would be able to compete in genuine fashion for your dollars. I even wrote about it months ago after a professor wrote about the idea of being a independent teacher that could certify credits for students after they took his courses all while paying a fraction of the price of what a credit cost at a typical university. 

Well of course Jordan Peterson was 10 steps ahead of me...This idea of his detailed in the below trailer must be pursued by the public!!! I repeat it, or something akin to it, MUST be pursued by the public. The alternative is more woke universities and more crippling student debt.

• Disney has grabbed 42% of all box office movie sales in the US and Canada this summer thanks to Deadpool, Planet of the Apes, Inside Out 2, and Alien. This is lifesaving news for Disney movies which was struggling before the summer hit.

• New research shows that every dollar put towards sports betting is $2 taken away from the stock market via household investments. Those retail investors keep finding more ways to lose.

• Secretary of State Antony Blinken hopes to do the impossible this week and get Hamas and Israel to agree to a cease-fire in Gaza. Don't anyone hold your breath.

• Both candidates for President are rolling out populous economic plans for free stuff. Increased child tax credits and more affordable housing from Trump; and insulin price caps for all and affordable housing from Harris. Governments keep wanting to give out free stuff in hopes that us (the idiots) have no foresight. Sadly, their hopes are always true.
