With the assassination attempt on Pres. Trump, the wars going on in Ukraine and Gaza, the boiling temperatures in politics, China increasing their communist-authoritarian demands on their population (read stories below), and refugee crises happening around the world I think it is clear what we must do. Repent and Pray. Trump, A Political Pundit, your bank account, or your job will not save you from this corrupt world, but our Lord Jesus Christ will.

• Investors expected a jolt of volatility in the market from the assassination attempt of President Trump. Proving that fear and manipulation dictate the market and not actual economic productivity.

• Trump now has an all-time high 70% chance at winning the election via Polymarket.

• JD Vance; Catholic Convert, Author, Venture Capitalist, and now Trumps pick for VP. Vance is someone who line up with Trump on most issues but his experience with Silicon Valley as a venture capitalist was probably one of, if not the core, reason he was trumps pick. Vance has it in with a deep pocketed crowd that Trump struggled with in the past. Namely left of center techies.

• Elon Musk has pledged to donate $45 million per month to a pro-trump group.

• Microsoft just laid off one of its DEI teams saying it no longer business critical or smart. Amazing that a multi-billion-dollar organization took years to figure out what every normal human being has known for the better half of a decade.

• The Fed just announced that it will not wait for 2% inflation to cut rates. Specifics about rate cuts were not given as Jerome Powell wants to be more confident in the cooling inflation numbers.

• The 2026 World Cup is set to be held in the US in 2026, but mayhem during the Copa America final between Argentina and Colombia in Miami proved that the US would need to severely upgrade its security and logistics to handle the World Cup. These international soccer tournaments, much like the Olympics, are notorious for bringing out crazed fans and bringing the worst out of people while also bankrupting the geographic locations in which they are held. 

• Google is close to acquiring cybersecurity startup WIZ for a record-breaking purchase for google. Sticker price is $23 Billion.

• Despicable Me 4, one of my favorite animated movie series to watch with the kids is killing it at the box office. $211 million gross in just two weeks of show time. Meanwhile the rest of the summer movies are struggling. It would seem nothing, but the animated kids' movies are exceeding expectations.

• The CCP in China have removed Hallow, the popular Christian prayer app, from the app store in the country. 

• This video by Fr. Mike explaining the Bible in about 10 minutes is amazing! Everyone should watch.
