Weekly Rant - Book Update

I finally have an update on the book. The official title will be "The Devil's Gambit", and the Subtitle will be "How the stock market leaves us poor in spirit and pocket." 

The book is going to be about 140 pages long give or take and it is going to the designer at the end of the month.

This book has been a real labor of love, and it will finally be available for purchase in February/March of 2025. 

I want to personally thank each and every one of you for your words of encouragement, prayers, and donations. Without you this book would never have seen the light of day. It was just far too controversial for a traditional publisher.

I started writing over 2 years ago and let me tell you, writing is exhausting work, or at least for me it is. I have told the joke many times, but it is worth repeating. I got a near perfect score on my Math SAT when I was in high school, but my reading and writing scores came back with a note that said, "at least you got your name right!" So, me writing a book is a true grace. 

This book has been through a ring of fire multiple times. It has been praised by some and then ripped to shreds by others and completely rewritten. The two critiques that I get are now conflicting critiques which is a good thing. The people who already agree with my premise say I need to be stronger in my condemnation of the secondary market, and those who are hearing the arguments for the first time when they read the manuscript say I need to be gentler in my delivery. This was a sign to me that I am right where I want to be. Strong in my convictions but gentle with those who I encourage to take action.

The book has cost many hours and when all said and done will cost an estimated $13,950.

$5,700 for editing and reviews

$2,250 for complete design and layout

$6,000 for printing the first batch of books

= $13,950 IN TOTAL to get books ready to distribute.

Thankfully during the past two years, C3 has received $11,979.73

This means my family only has to come up with $1,970.27 to complete this project. What a blessing to be able to self-publish a book and have it cost less than $2K. Thank you and God Bless!

• First Time home Buyers in the US for 2024 were 38 years old. This is a tragedy as people in their late 20's who should be starting families are essentially priced out of the home market.

• The Fed is expected to lower interest rates by a quarter point on Thursday, but this may be the last rate cut for the year since the messy jobs report was released showing a cooling labor market.

• The new movie Conclave about a fiction papal election is being lauded as one of the most woke movies possible. The pope elected in the movie is even a biological female. The catholic church is always under attack by the radicals. Conclave grossed $15 million at the box office so far.
